Tom has been in the automotive industry for 25 years and loves that Kolar feels like family from the moment you walk through the door, whether for sales, service, or parts. Outside of work, he’s a proud dad of two daughters and enjoys summer days on the water and cheering on UMD hockey in winter. His favorite model is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy.
Erik has been part of the Kolar Hyundai team since 2003 and takes pride in helping customers find vehicles they love. He’s been honored as the Best Car Salesman in the Duluth News Tribune from 2021 through 2025, an achievement he credits to his loyal customers and the relationships he’s built over the years. His favorite vehicle is the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, which he appreciates for its sleek design and impressive efficiency, he even drives one himself!
Austen has been part of the Kolar family since November of '18 and enjoys the fun, positive work environment. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and kids. His favorite model is the Hyundai Palisade, which he believes marked Hyundai’s rise to the top.
Michael has been with Kolar since November of '21 and enjoys that every day brings something new. A Duluth native, he loves golf and spending time outdoors. His favorite Hyundai models highlight the brand’s blend of innovation, comfort, and performance.
Brandon has been with Kolar for since '23 and loves building relationships with customers and hearing their stories. Outside of work, he enjoys hitting the gym, playing chess, and spending time with friends and family. His favorite Hyundai model is the 2025 Tucson SEL Convenience for its value and features.
Carter Matko has been with Kolar since Summer of '25 and has quickly come to love the team atmosphere and friendly environment. He enjoys learning about new vehicles every day and helping customers find the right fit. When he’s not at the dealership, you’ll find him outdoors downhill skiing, mountain biking, or just enjoying fresh air. His favorite model is the Hyundai Sonata N Line.

Ian has been with Kolar since September of '16! His goal is to ensure every vehicle is properly maintained and safe on the road. In addition to his role at Kolar, he runs his own business creating promotional and engraved items. A proud husband and father, Ian enjoys spending time outdoors - whether it’s biking, skiing, hiking, or camping. His favorite model is the Hyundai Palisade.
Richard has been with Kolar since August of '22 and enjoys the positive energy of the team and the friendly customers he works with each day. He’s a coffee lover who keeps things running smoothly in the service department. Outside of work, Richard is a proud traveling sports parent, cheering on his kids wherever the game takes them. His favorite Hyundai is the Sonata N Line that reflects style.
Kaleb has been with Kolar since May of '22 and enjoys working alongside his easygoing coworkers. He appreciates the positive environment and the chance to help customers daily. Outside of work, Kaleb loves golfing and spending time outdoors. His favorite vehicle is the Hyundai Tucson.

Corey Lonetto has been with Kolar since October of '23. He appreciates the great coworkers who make every day enjoyable. Outside of work, he loves camping and going to dirt track races. His favorite vehicle is the Hyundai Palisade, which he admires for its comfort and luxury.
Sherman joined Kolar Summer of '24 and brings six years of experience in the automotive industry. He enjoys the welcoming environment and the great people he works with every day. When he’s off the clock, Sherman loves playing Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. His favorite model is the Hyundai Santa Cruz, a perfect mix of comfort and utility.
Meet Our Business Development Center Staff
Whitney has been with Kolar since the Spring of 2016. She loves working for a family-owned company that invests in its staff and gives back to the community - and she enjoys helping with those events! When she’s not at the dealership, you can find her spending time with with her family. Together Whitney and her husband have been to 30+ concerts/festivals, seeing over 75 artists! Her favorite vehicles are the Toyota 4Runner, a go-anywhere SUV, and the Hyundai Palisade, which she proudly drives herself.
Samantha joined Kolar Fall of '25 and has loved how friendly and welcoming everyone has been. Outside of work, she enjoys searching for agates along the North Shore. Her favorite models are the Toyota 4Runner for its dependability and features, and the Hyundai Tucson for its great design and functionality.
Greyson joined Kolar just after the start of 2025! They enjoy the order and precision of organizing repair orders. Outside of work, they collect Russian nesting dolls, a hobby as unique as their attention to detail. Their favorite model is the Corolla Cross, a stylish hatchback that fits their personality perfectly.
Bio: Paul has been with Kolar since early 2025 and appreciates the supportive, friendly team he works with every day. When he’s not helping customers, he likes to spend time at the gym. His favorite Toyota is the Camry, which he describes as luxurious and comfortable.
Meet Our Finance Staff
Bill has been with Kolar since June of '17 and enjoys the variety of people he meets through his work. He values building relationships and helping customers find the right financing options. Outside of work, Bill loves spending time with his wife and kids or playing a round of golf. His favorite models are the Toyota Tundra and Toyota Sequoia.
Jon has been with Kolar since December of '22 and loves working for a family-owned business that gives back to the community. He’s especially proud of Kolar’s involvement in local events like the ALS Fishing Tournament. Outside of work, Jon is an avid curler who’s even competed in Russia and Scotland. His favorite vehicle is the Tucson Hybrid Plug In, which he admires for its sleek design and comfort.
